SyntaxMine has player profiles now. One free account ties together everything you do here: your Mobdle and Itemdle streaks, your Alchemy discoveries, your Higher or Lower scores and your comments on guides. You get a Minecraft head as your avatar (or your own skin), a level that grows with every game, achievements with titles to show off, and a public profile page.
And for a short while there is something you can only get once: the first ten accounts get a numbered Founder badge, Founder #1 to Founder #10, forever.

Quick answers
- Is it free? Yes. No payment, no premium tier, nothing locked behind money.
- What do I need? An email address and a password. We send one confirmation email, that is it.
- Do I lose what I already played? No. When you create the account, everything you played in this browser comes with it.
- Can I use my own Minecraft skin? Yes. Type your Minecraft username and your skin's head becomes your avatar.
- Can I delete it? Yes, any time, with one button. Everything goes with it.
What a profile looks like

Your profile page shows your nickname and avatar, the title you picked, your level, the achievements you earned, your stats from every game, and an activity calendar that fills in on the days you play. It lives at syntaxmine.com/u/your_nick, so you can send it to friends.
The same avatar and title show up next to your comments on guides, so when you answer someone's question about a farm or a redstone clock, people can see who they are talking to.
Pick a Minecraft head

Every avatar is a Minecraft head drawn as a block, the way heads look in your inventory. They are built straight from the game's own textures, snouts and beaks included: the villager has its nose, the pig its snout, the witch her hat, the ender dragon its long jaw.
There are 45 to choose from: hostile mobs, animals, illagers, piglins, the warden, the ender dragon, and all nine default player characters (Steve, Alex, Ari, Efe, Kai, Makena, Noor, Sunny and Zuri). Most are free from the start, and a new account gets a random one so the comments are not a wall of creepers.
Ten of them have to be earned:
| Head |
How to unlock it |
| Enderman |
Reach level 5 |
| Ghast |
Reach level 10 |
| Piglin brute |
Reach level 15 |
| Wither |
Reach level 20 |
| Blaze |
Week Streak achievement |
| Happy ghast |
Month Streak achievement |
| Warden |
Mob Master achievement |
| Allay |
Item Expert achievement |
| Wandering trader |
First Discoverer achievement |
| Ender dragon |
Perfect Run achievement |
Level heads get a blue frame and achievement heads a gold one, so anyone who sees a gold-framed ender dragon next to a comment knows that player scored a perfect Higher or Lower run.
Or use your own skin

If you play Java Edition with your own skin, you can wear it. Type your Minecraft username on your account page and press Use my skin: we look up your skin at Mojang and draw its head as your avatar, the second layer (hats, hair, helmets) included.
We only keep the id of the skin texture, not the username, and you can switch back to a mob head whenever you like. If your account still uses a default skin, pick that character from the heads instead.
Levels: every game counts

Your level is worked out from everything you have done, across all the games, so nothing is wasted and there is nothing to grind in one place:
| What you do |
XP |
| Solve a Mobdle or Itemdle |
20, plus a bonus for fewer guesses (up to 29 for a first-guess solve) |
| Discover an element in Minecraft Alchemy |
2 each |
| Discover an element before any other player |
25 |
| Play a Higher or Lower Daily Run |
1 per point you score |
| Comment on a guide |
5 each |
Level 1 needs 50 XP, level 2 needs 150, level 3 needs 300, level 4 needs 500, and each level after that asks for a little more than the last. A daily puzzle a day gets you to level 5 in about a month; adding Alchemy and Higher or Lower gets you there much faster.
Because XP is calculated from your real history, the games you played before you made an account count too, as long as they were in the same browser.
Achievements and titles

Achievements appear on your profile as soon as you earn them, and each one unlocks a title that shows under your name and next to your comments: "the Sharpshooter" for solving a daily puzzle on the first guess, "the Unstoppable" for a 30-day streak, "the Flawless" for a perfect Higher or Lower run, "the Frostbitten" for turning a zombie into a frostbite in Alchemy.
Some are a matter of turning up every day (Week Streak, Month Streak), some reward skill (One Try, Quiz Ace, Perfect Run), and one rewards being fast and curious: First Discoverer goes to whoever makes an Alchemy element before anyone else in the world.
The Founder badge: only ten exist
The first ten accounts on SyntaxMine get Founder #1 to Founder #10, a nether star badge with your number on it and the title "the Founder". It is given automatically the moment your account is confirmed, in sign-up order, and it never goes away. Numbers are never reused: once ten are given out, there will never be another.
Your account page shows how many are still left while you sign up.
Your progress, on every device
Before profiles, your streaks and discoveries lived in one browser. Clear your history or switch from your PC to your phone and they were gone. With an account they belong to you:
- Sign in on your phone and your Mobdle streak is there.
- Your Alchemy discoveries come back on a new device.
- Leaderboards and the Alchemy first discoverers board show your nickname everywhere.
Signed-in players can comment under every guide: ask about a farm that will not spawn, share a better redstone layout, point out something that changed in a snapshot. Comments appear straight away with your head and title. To keep them useful there are a few rules (no insults, no spam, no links), a short cooldown between comments, and a report button: comments that several readers report are hidden until we look at them.
Your data
We keep this small. An account stores your email address (only for the confirmation and password reset emails, never shown anywhere), your password as a one-way hash nobody can read, your nickname, avatar and title, your comments and your game results. No real name, no payment details. You can delete the account and everything in it yourself from the account page at any time. The details are in the privacy policy.
How to create your profile
- Go to the account page and pick Create account.
- Enter your email and a password of 8 characters or more.
- Open the confirmation email and click the link. You are signed in.
- Pick a nickname, then a head (or type your Minecraft username for your own skin).
- Play today's Mobdle, Itemdle, Higher or Lower or Minecraft Alchemy and watch your level move.
It takes about a minute, and while the Founder badges last, the sooner the lower your number.
Frequently asked questions
Is a SyntaxMine profile free?
Yes, completely. There is no paid tier and nothing in the profile system costs money.
Can I use my own Minecraft skin as my avatar?
Yes, if your Minecraft account has a custom skin. Type your Minecraft username on the account page and press Use my skin. Accounts on a default skin can pick that character from the 45 heads instead.
Will I lose my Mobdle streak if I create an account?
No. Everything you already played in the same browser is moved into the new account, including streaks, Alchemy discoveries and Higher or Lower scores.
How do I get the Founder badge?
Create one of the first ten accounts. The badge is given automatically when you confirm your email, numbered in sign-up order, and it stays on your profile permanently.
How do I unlock the ender dragon head?
Score a perfect Higher or Lower Daily Run. The warden, allay, blaze, happy ghast and wandering trader heads also come from achievements, and the enderman, ghast, piglin brute and wither heads from reaching levels 5, 10, 15 and 20.
Can I delete my profile?
Yes. The account page has a Delete my account button that removes your email, profile, comments and game results straight away.
